Whipping a Woman

There was a recent article in the Malay Mail regarding a whipping sentence imposed on a Muslim woman caught drinking beer in Kuantan. Women politicians from both sides of the political divide expressed their displeasure and shock over that ruling. The following was my response to the newspaper relating to that article:

How can we whip a Woman? A Woman represents our Mother, the Mother of our children and our daughters. A woman must always be treated with love and respect for aren't they the nurturers of our family?

Woe betide the Man who lay a hand on a Woman for he is the biggest coward.

I am a Man and in my personal opinion, a Woman is actually the stronger sex, both physically and mentally. What can the whole world show after centuries of being ruled by Man? Centuries of wars and conflict driven by the male ego and testosterone. I believe that a world ruled by Women will be a much more understanding and gentler world.

So when Women from both sides of the political divide share the same opinion and consensus, we must sit up, listen, pay attention and give due consideration, otherwise we Men would have failed in our roles as fathers, husbands and sons.
