Religion is like a Penis

It is fine to have one,
It is fine to be proud of it,
But please do not whip it out in public and start waving it around,
And PLEASE do not try to shove it down the childrens' throats

Why there will always be a war of some kind

I quote from David Baldacci:

There will always be a war of some kind.

At first, it was over good water and fertile soil, then precious metal, and then the most popular form of human disagreement, "My God is better than your God".

Whether you draw your faith from Jeremiah & Jesus, Allah & Muhammad or Brahma and Buddha, it does not matter. Someone will tell you that you're wrong and he'll fight you over it.

Me, I believe in aliens & to hell with all the Earthly Gods. In the grand scheme of a trillion planets in the universe, we are just NOT that damn important anyway and humans are rotten to the core

Whipping a Woman

There was a recent article in the Malay Mail regarding a whipping sentence imposed on a Muslim woman caught drinking beer in Kuantan. Women politicians from both sides of the political divide expressed their displeasure and shock over that ruling. The following was my response to the newspaper relating to that article:

How can we whip a Woman? A Woman represents our Mother, the Mother of our children and our daughters. A woman must always be treated with love and respect for aren't they the nurturers of our family?

Woe betide the Man who lay a hand on a Woman for he is the biggest coward.

I am a Man and in my personal opinion, a Woman is actually the stronger sex, both physically and mentally. What can the whole world show after centuries of being ruled by Man? Centuries of wars and conflict driven by the male ego and testosterone. I believe that a world ruled by Women will be a much more understanding and gentler world.

So when Women from both sides of the political divide share the same opinion and consensus, we must sit up, listen, pay attention and give due consideration, otherwise we Men would have failed in our roles as fathers, husbands and sons.

The origin of religion?

Someone once said, ” Religion originated from primitive man’s fear of thunder and lightning” How true is this saying?

The Invention of Marriage

Marriage is a human invention. Long before this invention, a woman will look for certain qualities in a man before deciding to have a child by him. Qualities like perhaps, blue eyes, appealing looks, musculature, power etc. In any case, once a man is lucky enough to be given the opportunity to impregnate a woman with his seed, he is not tied down to that particlular woman but he is free to continue to sow his wild oats with other women. There is no responsiblity, financial or otherwise for the man to bring up the child as that responsibility of nurturing that child falls on the woman. So marriage in that sense had done a disservice to nature as it restricts a man from spreading his genes and contributing to the genetic pool. A man should be free to choose his partners ( and likewise be chosen by the women ) to propogate his genes and if he so desires, live with one woman for the rest of his days. Marriage as an instiution is obsolete, in my opinion

Life's Junctions

There are many junctions in life which one must take, in particular that of a man. A man who is the bread-winner of the family always strive to work hard, get promotions in his job to provide for his family. When he had achieved what he feels is the pinnacle of his career, he will face one of these junctions. He may meet a new woman and fall in love. He has to make a major decision which way to take? To give up this new woman and go back to his family or to take a new path for another life with this new woman. This is one of life’s junctions

Chines Ghost Month

Since this is the month where “All Hell Breaks loose” in accordance to the Chinese calendar, I have a short story to tell:
In Penang, Malaysia, they set up long tables filled with offering of food, joss sticks, etc for the King of Hades and to the wandering souls ( or hungry ghosts) to feed. One day, there was a lady carrying her baby during the hot afternoon sun and she wanted to take a break. So she laid her baby on the offering table and guess what happened? The King of Hades thought that the baby was part of the offering and took its soul. Something like a Stephen King story eh?
