Chines Ghost Month

Since this is the month where “All Hell Breaks loose” in accordance to the Chinese calendar, I have a short story to tell:
In Penang, Malaysia, they set up long tables filled with offering of food, joss sticks, etc for the King of Hades and to the wandering souls ( or hungry ghosts) to feed. One day, there was a lady carrying her baby during the hot afternoon sun and she wanted to take a break. So she laid her baby on the offering table and guess what happened? The King of Hades thought that the baby was part of the offering and took its soul. Something like a Stephen King story eh?
